Thinking of Warmer Days
March 11, 2014 § 9 Comments
Winter in New York City is messy. I just got back from a lovely visit with family in sunny California. The day I left it snowed and the day I returned it snowed. I’m ready to shed my winter layers and put my sandals on. I fantasize about moving somewhere warmer.
For now though, while still deep into this unusual and painful arctic winter – I thought I would indulge myself with some images of Summer.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that this wishful thinking of yours will help to make this messy weather go away soon..:-)

Thank you Pagophila! Though I imagine my complaining must seem a little silly to someone probably used to much colder weather! From today’s NY Times City Room Blog.

In Germany we enjoy a very early spring these days. Nevertheless: The forecast already predicts rough weather deterioration for the weekend. So the boots are still standing in the hall here as well…

Being in Florida we get a cold snap of forty and we go ape. Snow on the ground is foreign to us as it would be to a person from Bali or Tahiti. I am so glad I do not experience the pictures of cold as you amply showed.

I’ve experienced some cold weather in Florida! I definitely prefer Florida’s to New York’s–You know it won’t last.

Visiting from Holistic Wayfarer’s site where you liked a post on race featuring me!
Just wanted to let you know I share your frustration with winter’s desire to stick around. I live north of you, still in NY state, but near Buffalo, so I have less of an excuse towards this type of attitude, but still, it’s April 4, man, why can’t I be in my garden instead of stuck inside. And, here’s the worst news, there’s possibly more snow in the forecast. Ugh!
Best regards,
Elizabeth
